About Us

2000 years ago, Jesus Christ came in to this broken world.  He came as the fulfillment of all God’s promises to His people (Acts 3:24).  He had no appearance that would attract others to Him.  But He came in grace and truth.  He came to his own people, but they knew Him not.  Even his closest followers betrayed him in the end.  Fully God and fully Man, he was without sin and acquainted with grief.  He was delivered over to death.  To die a death in the place of all those who would ever come to believe in Him.  He was the substitute, the sacrificial lamb, the propitiation for our sins.  And there is no other name given under heaven by which we can be saved.  His followers were dumbfounded.  How could the coming King and Messiah now be dead?  Maybe they were wrong after all!?  But Jesus rose from the grave, visited his disheartened disciples, and corrected their understanding of who He is and what He came to do.  He taught them the scriptures and opened their eyes to the unfolding revelation of Himself from Adam, to Moses, and all the prophets.  And yes, Christ has come and inaugurated his Kingdom upon this earth.  But during these lasts days, before He comes again to finally destroy his enemies, forgiveness of sins in Jesus name must be preached to all the nations (Luke 24:44-47).  His Kingdom would be advanced, not by the sword, but by the preaching of the Gospel.  What was the small group of disciples to do now?  As they stood by and watched him ascend on the clouds in to heaven?  They remembered that they were not left as orphans.  They would be given the Holy Spirit, and then they would be Christ’s witnesses throughout the whole world.  They were to share with others the good news of Christ as the fulfillment of God’s promises in ages past.  Pentecost came; the Spirit filled the early Christians and marked the beginning of the New Testament church of Jesus Christ.

As the church spread from Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria and to the uttermost parts of the earth, in all these places, the growth of the church was described as the growth of the Word.  (Acts 6:7; 12:24; 19:20).  In the beginning God spoke His word and the heavens and the earth came into existence.  In the same way God was establishing His Kingdom through the preaching of Jesus Christ, his eternal Word.

It’s now 2010, and God is still not finished showing undeserved kindness to a world that rejects Him.  We are still receiving a Kingdom that cannot be shaken (Heb 12:27).  There are still many that think he is unattractive and unworthy of honor.  But He offers forgiveness and acceptance still, through faith in His Son.  The Gospel is still reaching new places where people have never heard of Jesus Christ.  And He is still drawing sinners and rebels into a covenant relationship with Himself through the word of His power and Holy Spirit.

We are so thankful that God in His providence has allowed us to play a small part in His story.  Paige and I (Chris) met at Clemson University and were drawn together, among many things, by a desire to serve Christ’s Church among the least reached peoples of the world.  We were married in September of 2006 in Charlotte NC.  In August of 2007 we were given our first daughter Hannah and in June of 2009 Molly was born here in Bangkok, Thailand.  Currently we live in Pathum Thani, Thailand, which is the Northern part of Bangkok.  Although cultures are different than they were two thousand years ago, human nature and God’s purpose has not changed.  And so we are blessed to see people turning away from their sins to embrace Jesus as Savior and Lord.  Pathum Thani Thailand is less than 0.2% professing Christian.  The church is young and small.  But there are many who love the Lord and are a great encouragement to us.

Please pray for us as we seek to minister the Word to God’s people and master this difficult language.  As we open the scriptures with others and explain Christ as the fulfillment and center of all God’s plans.  As we call people to repentance and faith in Him.  Our goal now and in the years to come is to help establish Churches that worship God rightly, feed and nourish the flock, and reach out to the world in witness to Jesus Christ.  Please pray with us towards that end…

Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! Let the nations be glad and sing for joy.

(Psalms 67:3-4)
